    Pomegranate

    Pomegranate fruit is one of the most popular, nutritionally rich fruit with unique flavor, taste, and heath promoting characteristics.

    Pomegranate - The edible fruit is a berry. It has a rounded shape and reddish thick skin. The fruit comes in various sizes , so the number of seeds may also vary. After grading is complete The graded fruits are wrapped, generally in paper. Then they are packed in corrugated fibre board (CFB) boxes.

    Grades Fruit Characteristics
    Super Size Fruits are attractive, Very Large, Dark red in colour, without blemish weighting > 750g.
    King Size

    Fruits are attractive, large without blemish and weighting between 500-750 g.
    Queen Size Fruits are attractive, large without blemish and weighting between 400-500 g.
    Prince Fruits are attractive,blemish free and weighting between 300-400 g.
    12-A

    Fruits having 1-2 spots and weighting between 250-300g.
    12-B  Fruits Weighting < 250g.
     
     
    Packing
    After grading is complete The graded fruits are wrapped, generally in paper. Then they are packed in corrugated fibre board (CFB) boxes. The boxes which are brown 3 fold (CFB) are used for nearby markets while the 5 fold boxes are used for distant markets. Padding in the boxes is done by paper shreds.
